About
Empyrion Codex
Made by Dr. Dark
A community-made tool for browsing scenario data from Empyrion - Galactic Survival. Explore items, blocks, and traders from any scenario — seamlessly, with no installation required. Everything runs entirely in your browser, and none of your scenario data ever leaves your device.
Look up any item, block, or trader and get the most important information at a glance. Load a scenario folder directly from your disk, export and re-import the data as a compact .empcdx file, and browse saved scenarios — all stored privately in your browser's IndexedDB cache.
Inspiration
Empyrion Codex is inspired by EmpyrionBuddy, with the goal of modernising the concept and making it even more intuitive. Unlike EmpyrionBuddy, this tool lets you load any scenario and explore it directly in the Codex. That said, EmpyrionBuddy shines in its own right and is well worth checking out.
Empyrion Codex is also open-source, meaning anyone can view the source code, report issues, or suggest improvements. If you're a developer, visit the GitHub repository below.
Open Source
Contributions, bug reports, and feature requests are all welcome. Feel free to open an issue or submit a pull request on GitHub.

Your Data Stays on Your Computer
All scenario files and configuration data you load are parsed entirely in your browser. No files, game data, or personal information are ever uploaded to or stored on any server.
